What began as a simple passion has grown into a lifelong craft. From a career at sea as a ship’s captain came an enduring love for boats, the water, and the art of fishing. Upon retiring, I turned that same dedication to the traditional craft of smoking fish and poultry.

A Shared Passion
Growing up surrounded by my father’s love for the sea, the art of smoking fish, and his dedication to quality, it was only natural for me to follow in his footsteps. With a passion for hospitality and a desire to create exceptional experiences, I developed The Retreat alongside The Smokery, a place where guests can relax in nature’s beauty and savour the finest smoked produce, crafted with my dad's care and tradition.
